Our story began in 1953 with the first generation of the Merrell family. Today, Hockley Mint has grown into one of the UK’s largest bridal jewellery manufacturers, providing an extensive range of wedding rings, ring mounts, castings, findings, and ready-to-display jewellery collections for retailers. We also excel in bespoke commissions, large-scale production orders, and much more.

With a legacy spanning over 70 years, Hockley Mint is proud of its tradition of honest British craftsmanship and manufacturing.

Established in 1953 in Birmingham's historic Jewellery Quarter, we take pride in being an independent, employee-owned British jewellery manufacturer committed to creating sustainable and meaningful jewellery.

Employee-ownership

Hockley Mint is proud to be an employee-owned company, where the employees have a real stake in the business’s future.

Through an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), 100% of the company’s shares are being gradually transferred into an all-employee trust, ensuring that the business is owned and influenced by those who know it best—its employees.

This structure preserves our strong culture and values, while giving employees a voice in key decisions and strategies. The EOT allows us to continue delivering excellence as we have for over 70 years, while providing opportunities for shared success and growth.
